Welcome Jess!

We’re so excited to welcome Jess (she/her) as our new Nelson & District Women’s Centre Programs Manager!

Originally from the UK, Jess landed in Nelson in 2024, drawn by the mountains, community, and all the adventure this place has to offer. Having lived and worked in several countries, she brings a deep curiosity about people, connection, and diverse perspectives.

We’re feeling very lucky to have her on the team. Please join us in giving Jess a warm welcome and come in to say hi!

Farewell Anna – Wishing you the best!

If you’ve visited the Women’s Centre, chances are you crossed paths with Anna. During her three and a half years with WKWA, she took on several roles, including Drop-In Coordinator, Social Media Coordinator, and Programs Manager.

Anna has a remarkable gift for connecting with people and making them feel seen, heard, and valued. Through her leadership, care, and dedication, she helped shape the Women’s Centre into an even more inclusive space that reflects the mission and vision of WKWA.

Today, we celebrate Anna with gratitude and joy as she concludes her time with WKWA and begins an exciting new chapter. Anna, you will be deeply missed—not only for your strength, leadership, and commitment, but also for the laughter, kindness, and lighthearted moments you brought to the women’s centre every day.

Thank you for all you have contributed. We wish you every success and happiness on your next journey.

Good luck, Anna— 💜🏳️‍🌈🦄
