Make a Donation!

In-kind Donations

The Women’s Centre facilitates a free thrift store for participants to access clothing and shoes. The thrift store is possible thanks to the lovely donations from our community.

We accept donations of clean, new or gently used adult clothing and shoes. We can only accept donations that are seasonally appropriate, so summer clothes from May to September and warmer clothes from October to April.

We cannot accept donations of household goods or children’s clothing at  this time, as we do not have the space. If you have a specific item that you think would be useful to us, please reach out to discuss.

We ask that it is no more than one trash bag of donations per person.

Donations can be dropped off during our opening hours:

Tuesday: 11am to 3pm

Wednesday: 11am to 3pm

Thursday: 12pm to 3pm

PLEASE do not leave donations outside the door when we are closed.

Thank you for your continued support and generosity!

Recycling Bottle Program

The Women’s Centre has an account at the Nelson Junior A Leafs Bottle Depot (120 Silica, near Cottonwood Falls). Just let the Depot know that you would like to designate the money from the bottles to the Women’s Centre, and the folks at the Bottle Depot will put your donation onto our account. We will put the money to good use!

“When I come to the Women’s Centre to pick up some bread, a cup of coffee and to scour the free store for a new clothing item, it never feels like charity; it feels like community coming together to take care of each other.”
