This comprehensive program is a free opportunity to develop volunteer and support skills and learn about local services. Speakers from local organizations will come in to talk about the resources available in our community.

Participants will examine their understanding of feminism and oppression, develop peer-counseling and listening skills, and explore their relationship with self-care. It is also a safe place to share life experiences and connect with other women.

We are specifically looking at accepting women who are interested and willing to commit to 20 hours of volunteering at the Centre upon completion of the program. Many women go on to also volunteer with other agencies in Nelson and the district. The program is free of charge, and we welcome all self-identified women to apply.
