ANKORS will be offering an educational workshop on the Fentanyl crisis in BC, and what it means for Nelson and surrounding area, and a training session on THN or the Take-Home Naloxone training. The fentanyl crisis impacts our whole community – not just opioid users. This training will help the participants identify different kinds of overdose, and unpack why we often don’t respond, or respond in time, or are scared to respond. The main focus is for opioid overdose, and how to respond by giving rescue breathing and the naloxone intramuscular injection. How we react, and how quickly we react is critical in this time of fentanyl crisis, and in these situations the seconds do matter. Please join us to gain life saving skills for our community.
