Camille has lived on an acreage in the Nelson area for four years. Originally from Alberta, she spends most of her time in school, volunteering and working at a local greenhouse. She loves any chance she can to get outside with her dog and is a passionate gardener and environmentalist. Camille is also a certified mediator and yoga teacher, who has studied meditation all throughout her professional and educational career. She started a meditation and journaling workshop at Selkirk College during her studies this year and is very excited to share this with the Nelson Community.

This workshop will be about taking time to turn inward with the practice of journaling and meditation. We will talk about the effectiveness of journaling to relieve stress and anxiety. As well as meditations ability to improve our ability to stay mindful and grounded in our lives. Theory will be followed by practice and we will devote a large portion of our time to writing and meditating. Expect to learn tips on effective journaling and meditation as well as breathing techniques for relaxation. Please bring your journal, pen, pillow and ideas.
