RIC – Wednesdays Jan 2018

Are you interested in learning new peer support skills, understanding which resources exist in our community and talking about topics such as feminism, self-care, social justice, addictions, housing, domestic violence in a group of community minded women?

Join Rooted in Community, Nelson and Distrtict Women’s Centre’s free 20 hour volunteer skills training program.

Running Wednesdays, January 24- March 7, 2018, this is an excellent opportunity to be in a womens’ group and learn excellent peer support skills through the anti-oppression lens.

Upon completion you will be well qualified to volunteer in our drop-in program.

All self-identified women are encouraged to join.  This is an amazing opportunity to give to yourself and your community.  Let me know if you have questions or would like to register for the program.

Please pass this along to any woman who may be interested.

Thank you,

Shannon Dikkema
