Rooted in Community, our volunteer skills development training will next be offered during the month of October.
The program will run October 3-19 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00am – 12pm. This comprehensive program is a free opportunity to develop volunteer and support skills, learn about local services and find out ways to give back to yourself and your community!
Speakers from community organizations will be brought in to talk about various resources available in our community. Participants will examine their understanding of feminism, develop peer-counselling skills and explore their relationship with self-care. It is also a safe place to share life experiences and connect with other women.
Upon completion there is an opportunity to volunteer in our drop-in program if interested. All self-identified women are encouraged to apply!
